the Dark Velvet series is the new body of work that exposes the secret sex life of Londoners hidden in velvety boudoirs of cabarets and night clubs vs open love affair of brits with gardens and flowers. Being part of British society since 2005 and London since 2007, I find it fascinating how vibrant personalities blossom to life in the dark - passionate, powerful, seductive, ready to play. And how modest their may appear in the light of day - hard working, down to earth, drawn to nature and gardens. I aim to demonstrate and uncover the truth about this side of Britain though these floral series. So the choice of neon orange mixed with deep purples and teal is no accident here.
